What are exosomes?

Exosomes are tiny particles that your cells use to communicate with each other

You can think of them as the body’s natural messengers—carrying important information in the form of proteins, growth factors, and other signals from one cell to another.

Even though they’re much smaller and simpler than cells, exosomes can play a big role in how your skin and hair follicles repair themselves, stay hydrated, and maintain a youthful look.

In the lab, exosomes have been shown to:

hiEX™ Exosomes are a special type of exosome isolated from lab-grown stem cells called iPSCs

Many exosomes used in today’s cosmetics come from plants or stem cells isolated from donated tissue.

hiEX™ Exosomes are different. 

Unlike plant exosomes, hiEX™ Exosomes are isolated from a special kind of lab-grown stem cell called an iPSC, a technology that won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2012. They are filled with growth factors and other molecules that have been designed by millennia of evolution to work on the human body.

Unlike exosomes from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), which must be isolated from donated human tissue and can vary depending on the donor, hiEX™ Exosomes are consistent from batch to batch.

This consistency is because hiEX™ Exosomes come from a single iPSC line that is grown under tightly controlled, pharmaceutical-grade conditions.

How are hiEX™ Exosomes used in skin and hair care?

hiEX™ Exosomes are designed to boost your skin’s natural rejuvenation processes at home as well as during or after microneedling, peels, and laser treatments through topical application

At your treatment center

At our treatment center, hiEX™ Exosomes are used in two ways to enhance your results:

During treatment, your aesthetician may pair hiEX™ Exosomes with microneedling to deliver them deep into the skin and hair follicles for optimal absorption and rejuvenation.

Post-procedure, a sterile, highly concentrated hiEX™ Exosome solution is applied directly to the treated area to support natural healing and help minimize visible scarring.

At home

To further speed recovery, you can apply hiEX™ Exosome serum twice daily to the treated area starting 48 hours after treatment.

You can also use hiEX™ Exosome serum as part of your daily skincare regimen to reduce the visible signs of aging.
